Stage 1
Ca'Maddalena/Pianello
The first part of the stage will be predominantly hilly, while in the second part, we will immerse ourselves in a more mountainous environment to cross the massif of Mount Nerone and finish our day in the village of Pianello di Cagli.

Stage 2
Pianello/Cantiano
We leave the village of Pianello heading south to reach the Tecchie forest and its beech woods. After passing the forest, we will reach the southern/western part of Mount Catria near the village of Cantiano, but there will be no ascent planned for this day.

Stage 3
Cantiano/Mount Catria
A day dedicated to the ascent of Mount Catria, traversing the typical places of our horses, the slopes, the trails, the ridges, the meadows, and the forests that have been trodden by this splendid animal for centuries. Once we reach the summit cross, we will begin the descent northwards to reach the stage point at the foot of Mount Acuto near the Cupa delle Cotaline refuge.

Stage 4
Mount Catria/Secchiano
On the fourth day, we will continue north from the direction started in the previous stage to leave the massif of Catria and Acuto. We will cross the Burano river at the valley floor, skirt the slopes of Mount Petrano, and arrive at the last tented camp near the Bosso river, where we can immerse ourselves in its cool waters for a rejuvenating swim.

Stage 5
Secchiano/Ca' Maddalena
On the last day of the journey, we will bid farewell to the last mountains to return to a softer and more open landscape that will accompany us until the final hours of this adventure, leading us back to the Ca' Maddalena farmhouse.
